71.When one tries to describe this magnificent work of art
ones courage fails, for it is impossible. The hotel is built around three sides of a court yard 150 feet square with a grand colonnade running across the front through which you enter by a broad arched gateway lobby and in proportions as rich in its finishings. It is as imposing in its entry as any of the triumphal arches of foreign cities. The magnificent towers rise 150 ft and can be seen from any part of the of the city. And when seen, as I saw them first, by night, glistening with a flood of colored electric lights it is never to be forgotten.
