Summary: This is the first in a series of documents in this file regarding property transactions between the Model Land Company and Captain M. C. Hardee of Miami. Pepper remarks that "Capt Hardee has been such a good land customer of the Company in the past, and is now considered one of the foremost, if not the leading [tomato] grower in the south, thereby giving the Company a big volume of out-going business as well as incoming freight in the way of fertilizers, crate material, etc. ..."
