Summary: This letter from Model Land Company agricultural agent McLendon to vice-president J. E. Ingraham discusses his survey of Kendal Grove orchards and reports that he has found infestations of white fly and purple scale and much dead wood. Dade County Commissioner John Hinson was responsible for maintaining Kendal Grove, and this is the first in a series of letters criticizing his poor management of the orange and grapefruit trees.
